The Intepro ML 1800 Series is a modular configured electronic DC load. The ML 1800’s 1800W chassis can hold up to 6 Load modules making it ideal for testing multiple-output power supplies and batteries as well as other DC power products. Modules are available in 300 watts (single slot) or 600 watts (two slots) and are rated up to 80 or 500 volts.
The ML1800 series DC Load features 16-bit programming and measurements to simulate a wide range of dynamic loading. The units large, bright display makes programming the different load simulations from the front panel quick and simple while the various control interfaces (Ethernet, GPIB or RS232C) simplify system integration. All dynamic modes, go/no go testing, sequence programming, and inductance and capacitance load simulation can be set up and executed from the front panel or across the bus.
Using the programmable stored states of the ML 1800, a user can store up to 10 programs of 10 steps each. Programs can be continuously looped or run once, run once and then chained to the another program to provide very complex loading profiles.
All ML 1800 loads allow for mode changes without turning off the load input. This allows the ML1800 series to more accurately simulate load testing applications. The turn on of capacitance and inductance simulation is easily performed using the CC Rise and CV Rise modes. In addition, the load’s LED display and Battery simulation functions allow for quick setup and execution for these power products. The CC to CV and CR to CV functions also provide the user with special loading simulation features.
