Programmable Three Phase AC Power Source
The AFV Series is a broad line of programmable three phase AC power sources. With Power levels ranging from 15kVA up to 2MVA, the series powerful FPGA+ARM based controller offers precise voltage and frequency conversion with power disturbance generation capability. Power is supplied by state-of-the-art IBGT pulse-width-modulated power amplifiers resulting in highly efficient power conversion, compact design and maximized performance.
Standard output of the AFV is adjustable up to 300VL-N (519VL-L) and 47-63Hz. The AFV also offers an optional 600VL-N (1,038L-L) range. Also included is the embedded high accuracy measurement system which provides instant feedback on load characteristics with 0.1A current resolution, 0.1v voltage resolution and 0.1Hz Frequency resolution.
With the built in transient generator creating voltage and frequency disturbances such as steps and gradual changes with XXXmsec resolution gives users a powerful instrument for design validation test. The IPC option allows independent phase angle and voltage control for testing against phase unbalance for three phase products.
The AFV series power supply is a programmable power supply designed for grid simulation. With advanced SPWM technology and direct digital frequency synthesis (DDS) waveform technology, the AFV power supply has stable output frequency and continuity. The AFV series power supplies provide continuous, pure and stable sinusoidal voltage. They can achieve local control via remote control through the user’s PC using internal control and communication modules. The internal electronic circuit can quickly detect over- current, overload, over-voltage and output short circuit, and will automatically protect and cut off the output and sound an alarm.
With the ability to simulate an abundance of power disturbance simulation possibilities the AVF is a fully flexible source for both R&D and ATE production environments. Over 90% efficiency results in lower operating costs and heat generation. The AFV is able to provide precise voltage and frequency control to the demanding loads in today’s testing atmosphere.
